The Institute

AlFajr Institute of Islamic Sciences welcomes you to wonderful place where authentic Islamic knowledge is studied through a variety of fundamental courses offered to all brothers and sisters from ages 12 and above.

Our Institute is a non-profit organization that has been engineered by ICNA Sisters Canada.  A curriculum of ten courses has been designed, where each special course is covered in depth in a period of twelve weeks.  Successful completion of the courses leads towards a “Certification in Qur’an Studies”.

 All courses take place at the Institute’s premises in the city of Mississauga and are also offered live on-line. Vital courses that are offered include our core subjects of Tafseer and Tajweed , along with special subjects from our semester themes: Ulum-ul-Qur’an, Aqeedah, ‘Ibaadah, Seerah of the Prophets (Sallallahu Alayhi W’assalam), Akhlaq, Family Living, Financial Living, Seerah of the Sahabah (Radi Allahu Anhum), Personal Development, Lessons from Islamic History, and Da’wah.

 With the use of latest technology, AlFajr Online provides the benefit of live and recorded instruction  and downloads for students who are unable to attend classes in person.  Modern tools are used to facilitate Islamic education for those who do not live in the geographical proximity. Students are also given the opportunity to observe the courses that have been conducted in the past at their own convenience.  Classes are interactive and easily accessible from anywhere, and most importantly, they are tailored to fit everyone’s schedules.

 The Institute conducts classes on weekends from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM.  This two and half years program started in June 2009 and is planned to end in December 2011.  Students can join the Institute anytime during the year and in any semester to benefit from the knowledge and lessons taught by renowned scholars, Imams, experienced professionals and highly qualified educators. Our classes take place in an organized manner with true Islamic spirit. We provide a formal and comfortable classroom environment with proper segregation.
